ADWEEK Daily

Dearest readers,

Meta is facing a social reckoning over AI ads.

Mark Zuckerberg's Meta is editing ads with AI without brands' knowledge, according to ADWEEK's Trishla Ostwal, and the AI glow-ups are leading to serious slop that advertisers are pulling from the platform. Oh, and starting Oct. 30, all that is legally the advertiser’s problem under Meta’s updated Commercial Terms.

Meanwhile, Omnicom and WPP are having a Coke and a smile. Christopher Cicchiello has the story on how Coca-Cola's competitive reviews shook out.

Finally, TVNewser's updated daily cable news ratings are here! Our own Mark Mwachiro has been in the workshop bringing the new, reader-friendly ratings to life. Check them out and let us know what you think (as long as it's nice comments. Mark's been working hard).

And here's a reminder to register for ADWEEK’s live workshop on Oct. 28 at 1pm ET, How to Audit Your Social Strategy, to learn how to bring community, content, creators, and paid amplification into one connected strategy.

Now, follow me on your newsletter journey below!

Bill Bradley, deputy editor, TV, media, sports
